Rivergum repositions to accelerate medium density leadership

Rivergum – the state’s largest builder of medium density residences – will now put its full focus on providing affordable, high-quality solutions at scale to help meet South Australia’s housing challenge.

Over the next two years, the company will transition away from individual houses and will devote the majority of its 100-person team to delivering quality town homes in partnership with major developers.

“Since starting business 30 years ago, we have made our name as a leading South Australian builder of quality family homes for individual customers,” said Rivergum Founder and Managing Director Victor Said.

“However, over recent years we have experienced exponential growth in the projects side of our business, delivering medium density product in partnership with tier one listed and private master plan developers as well as the Government of South Australia.

“Such has been our success that we are now the largest builder of medium density homes in South Australia and number four nationally.

“We have over 1000 residences in our projects pipeline and we’re planning to announce an additional 200 in just the next six months as we look to capitalise on our projects expertise and grow this opportunity even further.”

To enable future growth, Rivergum will organically transition out of building individual houses for retail customers to put its full focus on working with development partners and on Rivergum owned projects in a builder-developer capacity.

It’s part of the company’s ‘More Homes for South Australia’ strategy to deliver more high-quality, affordable, medium density housing solutions at scale for South Australia.

Importantly, nothing will change for existing customers who are currently building or planning to build with Rivergum.

“Our focus on quality and delivering a home our customers can be proud of doesn’t change,” Victor said.

“We will honour current contracts with clients who have recently completed, are already building or are currently in our order book and want to build their home with us.

“In the longer term, we believe we are entering a new phase of growth for our company that will ultimately allow us to employ more people and build more homes.

“We’re proud of the role we play in building affordable solutions at scale for the people of South Australia, and we’re determined to maximise that opportunity to get more families in their own home.”
