Rivergum Homes takes its statutory defects and warranty obligations seriously and have a process for receiving, logging and actioning warranty requests.
Please take note of the information below before completing the enquiry form:
- Warranty requests can only be submitted via this form.
- As your customer contact details may have changed over time, all fields are mandatory.
- Statutory warranty obligations generally extend for 5 years from hand-over. Structural warranties may vary and are as documented in your building contract.
- Structural warranty beyond the statutory period is not transferrable to owners other than the original contracting customer. (per our published T&C’s)
- Please note, if you are the second or subsequent owner of a Rivergum home older than 5 years (ie outside of the statutory warranty period) there is no obligation for the request to be reviewed by Rivergum Homes.
- Fixtures and fittings are covered by the respective manufacturer’s warranty only, and these are of varying durations generally ranging between 1 to 5 years unless advised in your building contract. Please direct these enquiries to the manufacturer and/or their warranty and service agent. You will need to provide to them the building contract or job number to confirm if their warranty period is available or has concluded. An example of this could be a problem with a kitchen appliance where you would contact the manufacturer’s service agent direct.
- There is no emergency repair service provided by Rivergum Homes. If your reason for logging a warranty enquiry is due to an emergency you should contact emergency services (such as police, ambulance, fire, or the SES) as required. All costs associated with this are at your expense.
- You acknowledge that if a call-out request that determines that the fault is not a Rivergum liability you will incur a $500 + GST charge. An example of this could be a complaint of a leaking roof which proves to be caused by a lack of maintenance and build-up of leaf matter in gutters which is not a fault of the builder.
- Queries may take up to 5 business days to respond to.
