Rivergum takes home a hat-trick of accolades at the 2021 UDIA SA Awards for Excellence

A commitment to excellence and innovation, as reflected in quality, people-friendly housing solutions that contribute to better lives for Australians has seen Rivergum Group awarded a trio of accolades at the 2021 Urban Design Institute of Australia’s (UDIA) SA Awards for Excellence.

The leading local homebuilder’s Seasons development in Mount Barker led the way with victory in both the Medium Density Housing Award and Affordable Development Award categories, while the coveted Marketing Excellence Award went to Rivergum’s pioneering Plan Lab studio.

Accepting the awards at the UDIA’s gala event at the Adelaide Convention Centre last night (Friday, October 29, 2021), Rivergum Founder and Managing Director Victor Said says the latest honours further vindicate the company’s philosophy of creating living space to meet modern trends and contribute to better lives for all Australians.

“Our vision is to provide a solution for every homeowner, regardless of whether they’re starting out or creating their lifelong dream residence,” he noted.

“I congratulate our talented team of more than 100 professionals who buy into the vision each day and have been pivotal in Rivergum achieving this outstanding recognition.”

Seasons in Mount Barker was recognised in the Medium Density Housing category for delivering high-quality and affordable contemporary designs in a medium density infill development located within an existing township.

The project’s 55 houses range from Torrens titled two-storey terrace homes to single- and double-storey dwellings, all within a leisurely 10-minute walk of schools, transport and Mount Barker’s myriad shopping and entertainment attractions.

The judges also rewarded Rivergum with the Affordable Development Award for a generous portion of the homes at Seasons being under the affordable home cap of $369,000.

“They recognised that Seasons in Mount Barker excelled in meeting a market need by delivering a value-packed housing solution ideally suited to singles, couples, downsizers and families,” Rivergum’s Chief Executive Officer, Ryan Lee, added.

Marketing Excellence winner Plan Lab is a state-of-the-art home design projection studio which offers clients an immersive experience by digitally creating full-size floorplans and elevations at a 1:1 scale of their new home or project.

The studio opened in late 2020 and was credited by the judges for bringing leading property marketing technology to South Australian new home buyers, as well as the development and real estate sectors.

The UDIA’s Awards for Excellence is one of South Australia’s most respected and highly regarded awards programs created by the development industry. Launched in 1994, the Awards were created by the industry as a vehicle to recognise excellence and innovation within our state.

The Rivergum winners will go on to represent South Australia at the UDIA National Awards for Excellence in April 2022.
