Rivergum named 2018 HIA Professional Major Builder

It’s with great pleasure that we announce Rivergum Group as South Australia’s HIA Professional Major Builder for 2018.

In an eventful evening for the company, the Housing Industry Association’s Awards for Excellence saw Rivergum take home three awards; one which is a first in our company’s almost 25-year history. The Professional Major Builder of the Year for 2018 is an absolute honour for Rivergum to receive, and can be attributed to our dedication & commitment to innovative product, exceptional quality, forward-thinking approach and without doubt, our people. We’ve made it a strategic focus to thoroughly integrate our purpose, creating better lives, across all facets of the business, with recognition from the HIA a strong reinforcement of these efforts.

The Lumino terrace on display at Lightsview was also highly commended, impressing judges and winning the top honour for Townhouse / Villa of the Year and Excellence in a Display Home ($250k – $400k).

We’d like to extend the recognition for these awards beyond Rivergum, as we gratefully thank our valued suppliers, subcontractors, expert staff and industry partners. Your ongoing support is always appreciated.

Strategic growth implementation in line with market conditions

The 17/18 year saw Rivergum secure its presence in the market through successful growth into the Victorian and Queensland markets.

With conditions in the South Australian housing market continuing to plateau, and with growth engrained in our DNA, Rivergum’s business model has refocussed to ensure we maintain our market presence and stay at the forefront of new opportunities.

With a brand new range of homes designed specifically for the South East Queensland retail housing market, Rivergum Homes has successfully launched in to the Queensland market targeting first home buyers hoping to achieve their dream of home ownership.

While Rivergum’s core business will always remain in South Australia, a forward-thinking strategic approach means we will continue to identify key-growth areas nationally.

Victorian operations commence at Epping North

Focussing heavily on innovation, product and price point, Rivergum’s YoYo Uptown Living homes have launched in to the Victorian market. Located in Lendlease’s Aurora community in Epping North, the first release of the anticipated 72 ‘YoYo’ Uptown homes are offered from $349,000 and after six weeks, had just three homes left remaining in this release, with stage 2 hitting the market late September.

As part of Rivergum’s continued commitment to innovation, this project utilises both Virtual and Augmented reality to bring the Uptown homes to life.

Following on from the commencement of 8 dwellings at Jubilee, Wyndham Vale, the YoYo development serves as a strong pillar to Rivergum’s strategic growth strategy. Stage 1 at Aurora is expected to begin construction in September 2018.

Seven new display homes on the ground

Another big year for our display program with an additional seven homes bringing floorplans & design aspirations to life for our customers.

A Hamptons style and a modern double storey home opened their doors to the public in March, demonstrating ultimate luxury and style to Rivergum’s Signature range. Located at Bluestone, Mount Barker, the launch of the new Serenity and Mintaro also marked the closure of Rivergum’s two pre-existing displays in Bluestone.

A new site at Parafield now hosts another four display homes, opened in September with a public launch event for families. Three single-storey homes and one double-storey have breathed new life in to our Coast & Country range and have received exceptional feedback so far.

A double-storey coastal home, the Verto, was opened at our Victor Harbor display village in July also.

Rivergum secures its next South Australian development site

Rivergum has acquired a substantial parcel of land at St Clair, marking the next significant project for the Rivergum Projects team. Almost 6000sqm has been secured from AV Jennings, master-planners of the St Clair development, adjacent to the St Clair wetlands. A 62-dwelling development is planned for the area, consisting of Torrens Title terraces of varying living sizes, 2-bedroom and 1-bedroom units.

Just 10km from Adelaide’s CBD, market release for Stage 1 is expected to be December with construction forecast for May 2019.
